The model KM 4-48 Infrared Asphalt Recycler folding trailer design is our most popular model. The 4-48 offers the greatest versatility in size, maneuverability and profitability versus any infrared recycler on the market today. Four independent heating zones allow the user to recycle an area ranging from eight square feet up to forty-eight square feet at time. Four independent swivel castors allow complete maneuverability when in the working position. Simply fold the trailer unit out and position it over the area to be reheated.
The flip of a switch begins the heating cycles for the recycling process. All KM infrareds operate on an automatic cycling sequence that optimizes the transfer of energy from the heating unit to the bituminous surface. Utilizing infrared energy enables the user to warm asphalt back to original plant manufactured temperatures without destroying the physical properties of the pavement. Once re-heated, the repair process requires scarifying, adding a rejuvenation liquid, re-leveling and compaction. Proper infrared repair procedures result in an attractive permanent asphalt repair that can be performed in minutes at most any time of the year in variable weather conditions.
Keizer Morris infrareds are used in a variety of situations from pothole repair to pavement texturing and decoration. The infrared repair process is often considered the ideal solution for pavement imperfection including low spots (bird baths), high spots, drainage problems, isolated alligator areas, oil spots, catch basin repairs, utility trenches, crack maintenance and more.
Parent to all KM infrareds is the KM 2-18. Using two independent zones, each equaling nine square feet, the 2-18 is our most economical recycler. The KM 2-18 is ready to work with its provided standard bottle rack fuel supply and power supply line. Popular with pavers, the KM 2-18 can do all that its larger counterparts can, just in a smaller dimension. Weighing in at 150 pounds, the 2-18 is designed to be maneuvered by hand but it is also available with an optional castor rack. |
