Keizer Morris hotbox reclaimers are designed for optimal efficiency. The two-ton capacity KM 4000 is manufactured to fit into the bed of a standard pick up. When teamed with the KM 4-48 infrared asphalt recycler, we have provided an efficient one-vehicle maintenance system. With the KM 4000 located over the axle of the truck there is room for fuel cylinders, compaction equipment, hand tools and extras all enclosed in the bed of the truck. Simply attach and tow the KM 4-48 to and from the job site and get to work.
All KM hotboxes are fully insulated and lined with heat reflective materials that help provide maximum fuel efficiency. The KM 4000 is supplied standard with two thirty-pound propane cylinders that will fuel the unit up to seventy-two hours. Keizer Morris hotbox reclaimers allow contractors and municipalities great flexibility when job details require hotmix asphalt. A KM hotbox can store hotmix material at working temperatures up to three days, or it can be used to reclaim cold-chunked asphalt back to hot mix temperatures at any time during the year.
The reclaiming process is as simple as filling the unit with chunks of stock piled asphalt and setting the thermostat. In hours the asphalt is ready to shovel. This procedure offers customers work at any time during the year even when plants are closed. Utilizing a KM hotbox can accommodate work on weekends, and overnight jobs can be accomplished!
The KM 8000T is our four-ton capacity hotbox reclaimer trailer design
and our new KM-8000T dump design. The KM 8000T can be supplied as a separate unit for installation on a vehicle or as a completed trailer unit. Options available on the trailer include a liquid solvent tank, utility torch, heated tack tank, loading winch and more. Often used by municipalities the KM 8000T is ideal for maintaining potholes, utility trenches and more.
